The Brew Swap is back and this year we’ve grown a heart! The Swap won’t be any different from last year except we’ll have new people, new beers and a new Beerlympic game (since you all let me know of your distaste for Trivia). But this year we’ve gone benevolent and are working to raise money for charity. The swapper who can collect the most donations (or donates the most themself) will win an awesome prize (to be revealed closer to the swap)! Believe me, you’ll want to start collecting now so you are the winner! You’ll find all the details on the charity and our fund raising efforts on this page.
The format will still be open and unstructured for the swapping. Come in, grab a table, set up shop and have fun. We should have rectangular tables this coming year which will be a plus over the round tables from last year. For the uninitiated, bring as little or as much beer as you like. I’ll be bringing several cases to MOTD. How much makes it to the Swap is unknown. Heh.
Be sure and take the time to peruse the website. You’ll see that we have a blog.
Along with the blogs you’ll see a Silent Auction page. Go there and you’ll see some of the really cool items we’ll be auctioning off for the charity. So bring your checkbooks and credit cards (we take cash and gold fillings too) because I guarantee you’ll find at least one item you’ll want to bid on. Remember, every last dollar from your winning bid goes to charity so be generous.
